The main purpose of my academic visit was to communicate with the German scholars and experts in related fields, to understand the urban economic development conditions in Germany, to investigate the German financial industry research and its role playing in the urban economic transition, and to learn the relevant experience and practices. The whole research process was divided into three stages.

The first stage was the visit in Kiel in June, I made a special visit to professor Tobias.Specker, professor of Economic Institute of Kiel University of Applied Sciences, and discussed about the basic situation of German economy and society with him, hereby had the knowledge of the development of financial industry in Germany. At the same time, I did the study by means of related resources of Kiel University of Applied Sciences and the library resources of Kiel University.

The second stage, I communicated with other international students in July and studied in Darmstadt University of Technology in Hessen. The German universities were much internationalized. In Kiel we could communicate with students from Germany, Poland, Tanzania, Kenya and other countries in the world. We came to understand the situation of the German financial industry, especially the situation of Frankfurt, the financial center. In mid July, I visited Darmstadt University of technology in Hessen. Firstly I made use of the school library resources to carry out research work, including collecting financial information. Secondly I contacted with local students and residents to understand the situation of economic transition of the main city of Darmstadt, especially the role that neighboring Frankfurt played in the financial industry and the manufacturing industry in the economy of the city as an international financial center.

The third stage was the visit in August, mainly did the research work in Kiel, and the investigation in Thuringia prefecture in mid August, and the investigation in Frankfurt City and the Hessian in late August. The key work of that stage included:    

(1) In Kiel, I communicated with some students in Kiel University of Applied Science, the overseas Chinese students of the Keele University and those who worked in Germany and exchanged views on the current economic situation and the German banking. 

(2) In Erfurt, I met professor Joachim.Weyand of ILMENAU Industry University and visited the Thuringia state assembly. Professor Weyand introduced the basic situation of the German state of Thuringia, and the German political system and the German economy system adaptability. 

(3) In Erfurt, Professor Weyand and I went to the Deutsche Bundesbank Erfurt branch research. Erfurt branch deputy general manager, Mr. Rene Blank described in detail the system architecture of the European Central Bank, the Bundesbank in one position, and the relationship between the Bundesbank and Deutsche Bank and other commercial banks. Mr. Blank also mentioned the problems of China and China's financial interests. Both sides of the question also cross-border RMB payment problems, China's foreign exchange reserves, the Bank of China Shanghai FTA construction system, the communication lasting as long as three hours

 (4) In Erfurt, I went to the Albert Foundation Office Erfurt to communicate with Professor Weyand and visited the University of Erfurt. Mr. Muller of Albert Foundation introduced the basic condition of the Albert foundation, and the main work condition of the office of Erfurt. In Erfurt University, I visited the campus, and communicated with Professor Weyand about the relationship between Frankfurt's financial system and Luxemburg, Switzerland and other countries.

 (5) In Ilmenau, Professor Weyand took me to visit the school of economics of Ilmenau University of technology. I introduced to Professor Weyand about the training situation of Shanghai Administrative Institute and the condition of the training graduates of national economics major. Professor Weyand also introduced to me about teaching and research in Ilmenau University of technology as well as the difference and relationship between the research and the application type of German universities. He also expressed his own views on the understanding of professors and graduate education.

   (6) I once again came to the state of Hessen in late August, and went to Frankfurt to visit the financial district in the Rhine River area; I had a direct feeling and experience of the Frankfurt Financial District, as well as did some realistic verification based on the theoretical research.
